It's Pretty Here

We went on a day trip to Strasbourg, France two weekends ago. It is a very cool place. I have pictures in my phone, but I'm not able to sync them to the computer yet because of something that I have no control over and is too boring to explain. We are hoping that we can sync the phone next week. At that time, I'll get all of the pictures in. I've loaded 2 for now. One is of Mike and I taken in front of the Cathedral. The other is of the "Petite France" area where we had coffee. Here is a link to a Flicker search of other people's pictures of Strasbourg... http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=strasbourg

Strasbourg is currently located in France on the border it shares with Germany. I say currently because the Alsace region has changed hands between the countries several times over the centuries. Most of the architecture in the older parts of the city are decidedly German and I was able to find Gingerbread very easily. However, the language is French. The whole experience was great and we look forward to going back and taking the boat tour.

Speaking of Gingerbread... I think I'll have Gingerbread and a Mocha for lunch. Yum!

Oh, good to see a post finally. Sounds fantastic. How goes the rest of the domestication?
STILL miss you.

Domestication is in full swing. I have the "rubbish" all figured out. I have my little food wate box and my government approved trash bags. Trash goes out on Thursday and Monday... and they pick-up around noon.
I have bags for recycling stuffed into the broom closet... Green Glass; Brown Glass; White/Colorless glass; Plastic; Aluminum; Batteries all have recycling containers about a block away. Paper/Cardstock/Cardboard get picked-up once a month.
I am the queen of laundry dungeon and have started to enjoy the process again.
I have collected all of the ingredients to make Chocolate Chip Cookies except my American Measusring Cups are in a storage container... my Mom is working on that for me.
I miss you too Nicole; I think of you everytime I see chocolate... and there is chocolate EVERYWHERE!!! I miss the simple things- like having conversations; and the more complex- like the sideways glance of understanding in an awkward situation. When you scan some of your scrap-pages, could you email them to me? Your work is amazing and it makes me smile :-) Ciao!
